New details have emerged on the future of veteran quarterback Russell Wilson after getting benched by head coach Brian Daboll.

After a disastrous performance in a 22-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Russell Wilson was benched in favor of rookie Jaxson Dart. The latter will make his first start on Sunday against Justin Herbert and the 3-0 Chargers, while Wilson accepts a demotion to backup for the second time in three years.

Wilson will turn 37 in November and has declined every year since 2021. As such, it’s easy to wonder if the 10-time Pro Bowler might call it a career or ask the Giants to give him a fresh start.
