Ifervently hope that most of the Sun’s readers read Diana Gifford-Jones’s “Why is information so hidden in healthcare?” Her commentary is provocative, but should be read with care.
I share a somewhat similar background with Ms Gifford-Jones. My father, too, was a physician; she and I differ in one respect, namely that I followed my father more directly - I became a physician, and practiced my entire career at a large, public teaching hospital here in the U.S.. My father’s family came to Westerly from New Brunswick, so some emotional ties to Canada persist even if actual physical ties have disappeared.
