A fiery highway crash occurred Wednesday morning. The crash occurred on U.S. Hwy 380 westbound near mile post 198, close to the border of Chaves and Lea counties. Officer Wilson Silver of the New Mexico State Police confirmed there was one fatality.
A professional photographer named Jerod Foster was passing through the area and provided several photos. Foster stated in an email that the collision was between a tractor-trailer and another vehicle which he could not identify due to such large quantities of smoke.
