A competition called "Pave the Way" is underway in Cincinnati, where six teams are presenting innovative ideas to tackle the city's escalating pothole problem, which has seen the number of potholes jump from 12,000 to 42,000 in the last two years.
The event, hosted by Flywheel, aims to find better ways to detect, repair, and prevent potholes, significantly impacting the city budget. Advertisement
The teams, comprising members from various backgrounds including businesses and students, are vying for a $5,000 prize donated by Tire Discounters.
However, the city may choose to implement a combination of ideas, which competitors are open to.
