The Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department's Friday evening showings of family-friendly movies will wrap up this week, with "Cars" taking to the screen at Rotary Centennial Park.
The free screening, provided in participation of PLAY Inc., will come after a special Mini Cardboard Cruiser Car Show hosted by youth in the Parks Department's Wonderlab Wednesday enrichment program.
The Wonderlab Wednesday program is designed for children 6 to 13 years old, held at the Minami Community Center, and is centered around a monthly theme.
The October theme is 'Boo-tober Bash' and is made up three meetings with Oct. 8 featuring Scary STEAM Challenges, Oct. 15 will guide attendees through a Wizardy Potion Workshop, and Oct. 22 focused on 3D Spooky Art.
