The man fatally shot at a Nashua, N.H., country club over the weekend was recalled Wednesday as a “family member at his core” in an online tribute posted to a funeral home’s website.

“Rob was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother,” the family of Robert Steven DeCesare Jr. wrote in their tribute posted to the Carrier Family funeral home’s website . “He loved spending time with family and friends more than anything in the world.”

His family said DeCesare, 59, was an avid golfer who enjoyed playing with close friends.

“Since becoming a member of the Sky Meadow Country Club, Rob found immense joy in bonding with and tormenting his ‘Pickleball Crew,’” the tribute said. “He and his mother Evie played many games of Yahtzee together, and he was also known as a strategic and fiercel
