Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting in Hartford on Wednesday evening.

Officers were dispatched to the area of 22 Evergreen Ave. around 6:07 p.m. on ShotSpotter notification, according to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police Department .

Arriving officers located a man in his 30s suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, Boisvert said. He was alert and conscious at the scene before he was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

The Hartford Police Department’s Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded to the scene to conduct the ongoing investigation, according to Boisvert.
