Abused Dog Finds Healing and Confidence Thanks to Foster Kittens

Four years ago, Claudia Papp welcomed a foster dog from Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue into her home. The dog, named Chapo, had endured a painful past — abused, neglected, and left on a shelter’s euthanasia list. When Papp first met him, he was in rough shape, battling fleas, worms, a skin infection, and fractured teeth. Yet even more striking than his physical wounds was the depth of his fear.
