A Marlborough man has been sentenced to prison for possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material, the Massachusetts U.S. Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.

Larry Stephen, 46, pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography in April, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a press release . He was sentenced to serve five years in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, and ordered to pay $13,000 in restitution in federal court in Boston.

The charges stem from Stephen’s use of a social media platform to receive and post child sexual abuse material, the U.S. Attorney’s office said.
