Tanner Bibee, without his best stuff, battled to hold Detroit to just one run on 5 hits over 6 innings. He threw 105 pitches.

The Tigers scored first on a Parker Meadows sacrifice fly but Cleveland grabbed a 2-1 lead in the 3rd on a 2-run homer by rookie George Valera.
Valera was the DH, replacing the injured David Fry.
