CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The amazing Cleveland Guardians run continued Wednesday with a 5-1 win over Detroit at Progressive Field.

Cleveland has now won 17 of its last 19 games and leads the American League Central by one game with 4 to play.

Tanner Bibee, without his best stuff, battled to hold Detroit to just one run on 5 hits over 6 innings. He threw 105 pitches.

Cleveland starters have now gone 19 straight starts allowing 2 runs or less.

The Tigers scored first on a Parker Meadows sacrifice fly but Cleveland grabbed a 2-1 lead in the 3rd on a 2-run homer by rookie George Valera.

Valera was the DH, replacing the injured David Fry.

Steven Kwan added an RBI single in the 5th to make it 3-1 Guardians.
