Yankees' Anthony Volpe stats on fire since his cortisone shot

Anthony Volpe has had quite the up and down season for the New York Yankees .

Right now, it's all up, and it's been a hot streak since Volpe got a cortisone shot.

Is it related? Who knows.

But it's something that Yankees fans have taken notice of.

Volpe got a cortisone shot on Sept. 10 for a small tear in the labrum in his left shoulder, which he's had for more than four months.

He returned to the starting lineup on Sept. 16.

In the six games since then entering Wednesday, Volpe was hitting 8-for-20 (.400) with two doubles, two RBI and two steals.
