COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) -On Wednesday night, Colorado Springs District 49 voted to limit student access to facilities based on biological sex.
The resolution passed in a vote of 3 to 2.
School documents outline that the vote applies to multi-user restrooms, locker rooms, changing areas, showers and similar private spaces designated for use by one biological sex.
Documents say that students will not be allowed to enter sex-segregated facilities that do not align with their biological sex, "regardless of self-identified gender, presentation, or other factors."
The resolution states that this applies to all school premises during school hours, extracurricular activities and school-sponsored events for students, staff and visitors.
