ORRVILLE, Ohio — The J.M. Smucker Co. has announced it will close its only retail store, and instead donate the facility and land in Orrville to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank .

The company says it made the decision as part of "its longtime commitment to combat food insecurity." The food bank is making an effort to expand its operations in Wayne County, and now has access to a 19,000-square-foot building as well as a pollinator garden and 30 acres of space.
