ATHENS, Ga. — It may only be Week 5, but one of Georgia football's biggest games of the season is right around the corner.
The Bulldogs are hosting the Alabama Crimson Tide for the first time since 2015.
The matchup is huge for both teams, as the No. 5 Bulldogs and No. 17 Crimson Tide would each appreciate a win for the National Championship hopes. For Georgia, however, the game is a little more personal.
Georgia hasn't defeated Alabama in the regular season since 2007, and, in the last 10 matchups, the Bulldogs have only won once — a 33-18 win in the 2021 National Championship.
The Bulldogs also lost to the Crimson Tide just last year in a 41-34 defeat on the road. As such, it'll be crucial for the Bulldogs to have the entire team ready to go ahead of a big-time game.
