LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK)-- Finding a job after graduation can be nerve-racking for students, which is why the Longview Chamber of Commerce is helping connect technical-based graduates with future employers at the 'State of the Workforce Luncheon'.

At Wednesday's luncheon, local CTE programs and businesses used the time as a networking opportunity, an effort to keep future workers in Longview. These programs include HVAC, welding, automotive, and cosmetology.

"These businesses know these schools exist, but maybe they haven't put a face to it," Dave Jochum, C.O.O. of the Longview Chamber of Commerce, said. "Maybe they don't know who to contact. So, this allows them to see those people in action, hear from them, pick up their business card after."
