WellSpan is hosting a week-long blood drive to honor the three Northern York County Regional Police detectives killed in a Sept. 17 shooting in North Codorus Township, as well as two injured officers .
WellSpan’s event will be hosted at its Blood Donation Center at Apple Hill Medical Center from Monday, Sept. 29, through Friday, Oct. 3.
“Blood donation is one of the most direct ways people can help others,” said Steve LaCour, WellSpan’s laboratory supervisor. “Donations take less than an hour and save lives every day, especially during emergencies, and to support the recovery of patients with chronic conditions and those undergoing complex surgeries.”
