Richard Alvin Schau, 89, from Shadyside, Ohio passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, at the Shadyside Healthcare Center in Shadyside, Ohio.

He was born on August 15, 1936, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a son to the late Chester and Edith (Toland) Schau.

Richard pursued his academic ambitions with dedication, earning a Bachelor’s degree from West Liberty University followed by a Master’s degree from the University of Dayton. His professional career was marked by his long-standing role as a Guidance Counselor, a position he held with great commitment until his retirement. Through his work, he touched the lives of many students, offering them guidance and support during their formative years.
