The 60-year-old from Tumbarumba, NSW, now works on the Snowy 2.0 after deciding to try something new at a later stage in life.

Mr Graham said joining the project's principal contractor, Future Generation Joint Venture (FGJV), after learning a different trade had been a "fantastic opportunity and a real blessing".

"At 60, I didn't see any obstacles, only the possibility that other people's bias might hold me back," he said.
