In a major milestone for India’s strategic defence capabilities, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) , in collaboration with the Strategic Forces Command (SFC), successfully test-fired the next-generation Intermediate Range Agni-Prime missile from a rail-based mobile launcher on Wednesday. The test, conducted under a full operational scenario, marks the first-ever launch of its kind from India’s specially designed rail mobile platform.
The Agni-Prime, a canisterised missile with a range of up to 2,000 kilometers, incorporates a suite of advanced technologies.
