LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A newly released report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department details a skydiving accident that left two men hurt.
The incident happened at the Jean Sport Aviation Center on September 17, according to documents.
A small plane took off from the Aviation Center around 11:55 a.m., according to the police report obtained by 8 News Now on Wednesday.
Two skydiving instructors and two students were on board and departed the aircraft from 11,000 feet, per the responding LVMPD officer.
One instructor, who spoke to LVMPD as a witness after the accident, said he observed the other skydiving team having issues with their parachute.
The instructor of the struggling team, identified as a 54-year-old man, then deployed his backup parachute, but it did not fully open,
