HOPEWELL, NY— The Ontario County Public Health Department has confirmed a case of West Nile virus in a resident of the county.
Health officials said Sept. 24 that the person, who lives in the northern section of the Finger Lakes region, was bitten by an infected mosquito, which is the primary manner of infection.
