St. Andrew's and the Habersham School have developed a strong rivalry on the volleyball court in the last few years and this season the competition is reaching a higher level.
On Thursday night, St. Andrew's avenged a three-set loss earlier in the season by surviving a strong rally from the visiting Patriots as St. Andrew's prevailed 25-7, 23-25, 15-11 in a match that had everyone on the edge of their seats.
St. Andrew's got a boost from the return of outside hitter Khloe Jesswein, who missed six weeks of action after fracturing her ankle in a freak accident in English class. The 6-foot sophomore had a strong performance as the Lions stayed focused down the stretch to pull the match out.
"Habersham is such a scrappy team, they are going to get after every ball and they never quit,"
