AAP’s Neel Garg hits back at BBMB; alleges Centre, Haryana and BBMB ‘setting a narrative’ to loot Punjab’s water

Chandigarh, September 25, 2025: Aam Aadmi Party spokesperson Neel Garg issued a sharp rebuttal to the Bhakra Beas Management Board, asking whether the board ever stated that denying water to Haryana would result in floods in Punjab.

Garg termed any attempt by BBMB to defame Punjab as condemnable and accused the Union government, Haryana government, and BBMB of acting in concert against the state. He alleged that all three are “setting a narrative” under a broader conspiracy to “loot Punjab’s water.”

Reiterating the party’s stance, Garg said the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab will not allow any move that harms the state’s water rights.
