ATV reported stolen, recovered

An ATV was reported stolen on Tuesday morning from Camp Billy Machen, Imperial County Sheriff’s Office activity logs show.

A reporting party told the sheriff’s office the ATV was stolen the night before or early on Tuesday.

The vehicle was found at 1:32 p.m. on Low Road, just east of the skate park.

According to the logs, the registered owner was contacted to recover the ATV.

Also, deputies arrested an individual allegedly involved in the case.

The sheriff’s blotter report indicates that Jessica Shell, 45, was arrested at Low Road and Beal Road for receiving known stolen property. The suspect was booked into the county jail at 5:01 p.m. on September 23 with a $10,000 bail.
