Thurmont authorizes town police to fill vacant officer position

Thurmont's Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on Tuesday to approve hiring a town police officer to fill a vacancy in the department.

The board previously held off on approving to fill the vacancy until expenditure concerns were addressed.
