BAINBRIDGE — For the whole of high school school golf season, conditions have been similar: Hot, dry and fast.

So when the rain came down at the final Suburban League girls golf tournament Sept. 24 at Tanglewood National Golf Course, the golfers faced a different challenge

Perhaps it was fitting the winners who sprouted from the rainy conditions wore green.

Highland continued its dominance in the American Conference, winning the title with a 323 score to finish 36 strokes ahead of runner-up Revere. Meanwhile, Nordonia claimed it first National Conference title since 2022 with a round of 341, finishing 12 strokes better than North Royalton.

The Hornets and Knights each won conference titles in the previous three league tournaments, erasing all doubt for the championships.
