Today will start with lingering clouds and scattered showers/storms in the morning, especially to the south of the I-10 / I-12 corridor, with a gradual clearing in the afternoon. Highs will only be in the mid 80s!
COLD FRONT MOVING THROUGH
The heavily advertised cold front will move through the Baton Rouge area this afternoon, with rain and moisture moving out of the area gradually. More dry, stable, and cooler air will filter in behind it.
TROPICAL TRAFFIC
In the Atlantic, we have Gabrielle, Humberto, and invest 94L. The invest is expected to become the next named storm, with the eventual track nearing the east coast. There are currently no threats to the Gulf.
