The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board has set a noon deadline Monday for bids on 25 expired restaurant licenses being offered in the state’s 14th license auction.
Each of the 25 counties will have one license available: Adams, Allegheny, Armstrong, Bedford, Berks, Bucks, Cambria, Carbon, Clearfield, Crawford, Delaware, Erie, Greene, Juniata, Lawrence, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Northampton, Northumberland, Pike, Schuylkill, Somerset, Sullivan, and Wyoming.
Sealed bids will be opened Thursday, Oct. 9, with auction winners determined shortly after. The minimum bid for each license is $25,000, and bidders must include a surety of $5,000 or 5% of their total bid amount, whichever is higher, to prevent frivolous and underfunded bids.
