FRIDAY-SATURDAY, THE BROADSIDE
BlackAmericana Fest aims to “honor and celebrate the musical heritage, legacy, and contributions of Black artists making music in the Americana and Folk genres in New Orleans and the Mississippi River Delta region.” To that end, the 2025 BlackAmericana Fest presents two days of performances and panel discussions across three stages at the Broadside and its sister Broad Theatre.
On Friday, the event runs from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. and features Kenny Neal, Big Chief Bo Dollis Jr. & the Wild Magnolias, Bruce “Sunpie” Barnes, Leyla McCalla and headliner Don Flemons.
Saturday’s program runs from 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and includes performances by Dr. Michael
