As Brisbane enter Saturday’s grand final, they’ll be hoping to add to a surprisingly large list of examples of qualifying final results being overturned in the grand final three weeks later.

But four-time premiership great Luke Hodge has warned it will be much tougher for the young Lions than it was for his own hardened Hawks in achieving the feat a decade ago.

Hodge was the leader of Hawthorn’s 2015 outfit that suffered a 32-point defeat to West Coast at Subiaco Oval, before turning the result around - with the help of returning to their MCG home venue - in the decider.
