With the Houston Astros completely imploding and losing for the fifth time in a row last night to the Oakland, homeless, Sacramento A’s by a score of 6-0, the Red Sox Magic Number to make the postseason is down to just one! This means any combination of one Red Sox win or another Astros loss between now and Sunday night gets Boston to the October dance floor.

Fortunately, The Astros are playing a day game in California today to wrap up their series in Sacramento at 3:30pm eastern time. So if they lose, the Red Sox could clinch a playoff spot before they even take the field tonight in Toronto at 7:00pm.
