STARK COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A convicted sex offender accused of kidnapping a woman at knifepoint in Jackson Township, has a hearing in Massillon Municipal Court Thursday.

Jamie Triplett, 38, is charged with aggravated robbery, kidnapping, aggravated menacing, and disrupting public service.

He is currently being held on a $1 million bond at the Stark County Jail.

Jackson Township police said the 31-year-old woman was abducted at 6:26 p.m. on Sept. 17 from the Rodeway Inn on Sunset Strip Avenue NW.

She was forced at knifepoint into a vehicle and driven to another location.

The woman, whose name we are not reporting, was found safe the next morning at the Perry Inn on Lincoln Way in Perry Township.
