Srinath Reddy urged public health leaders and policymakers to take bold, proactive steps to tackle chronic diseases and environmental health threats, especially as India charts its Viksit Bharat vision. Quoting Yogi Berra on the difficulty of predicting the future and Nobel laureate Toni Morrison’s exhortation to “create the future,” he emphasised that institutions must move beyond recounting past successes to actively shaping the nation’s health trajectory for the next 25 years.
