The Delhi High Court on Thursday refused to grant regular bail to former Aam Aadmi Party councillor Tahir Hussain in the 2020 murder case of Intelligence Bureau official Ankit Sharma during the North-East Delhi riots.
Justice Neena Bansal Krishna dismissed Hussain’s plea in FIR 65/2020, registered at the Dayalpur police station, saying, “The bail application is dismissed", according to a report by Livelaw .
The Livelaw report highlighted that the AAP councillor filed a similar bail plea in December 2024 but withdrew it in February, with the court allowing him the option to approach the trial court.
