JACKSON, Mich. (WILX) - The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is on the rise everywhere, including in the workforce and in schools.
For students, using AI the wrong way could be harmful to their learning. At East Jackson Secondary School, using it to help with schoolwork is normal for some classes.
“It helps me by explaining the subject more than a teacher will. No offense to the teachers, but I feel like it could help me learn it better,” said Chelsie Johnson, a sophomore at East Jackson Secondary School.
Johnson says she uses AI to support her learning.
“In class, for example, last year in science, I wasn’t doing very well. So I would like to look up how to do it, and it would help me understand how to do it,” said Johnson.
