FLINT, MI - Horror fans have a date to mark on their calendars.

The Freakout returns on Saturday, Sept. 27 at Flint Local 432, located at 124 W. 1st St. in downtown Flint, for its third celebration of short horror films from around the world.

Organized by Chris Ringler, founder of the Flint Monster Society, the festival will showcase roughly 40 short films from countries including Australia, Iran, Spain, the U.K., Mexico, and the United States, running throughout the day from 10 a.m. until about 5 p.m.

Founder of the Flint Horror Collective , Ringler also started the Flint Monster Society to bring unusual, genre-driven events to the region.
