MUSKEGON, MI - “Direct from Sweden - The Music of ABBA” joins the West Michigan Symphony (WMS) next month to perform full orchestrations of the supergroup’s global hits.
The concert, conducted by Scott Speck, takes place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 3, at the Frauenthal Center, 425 W Western Ave. in downtown Muskegon.
Attendees can expect signature ABBA performance elements such as groovy solos, musical numbers and a complete live band with back-up singers.
“People think of a symphony orchestra as only playing classical music,” said WMS CEO Andy Buelow. “But our group can play anything: jazz, rock, Broadway, film — and definitely the music of ABBA! An orchestra is really just a huge, versatile single instrument. Join us on Oct. 3 and experience the magic first-hand.”
