NFL legend Drew Brees will join Stephen A. Smith on First Take after Molly Qerim abruptly quit.

Qerim hosted the ESPN show and mediated heated debates between Smith and his guests.

But Brees will be a weekly contributor on First Take adding to resurgence in the media after an appearance on Fox's NFL coverage.

The former quarterback will still be able to pursue other broadcasting opportunities outside of ESPN.

Brees worked for NBC during the 2021 NFL season but mostly remained out of the spotlight since.

Now, the ex-New Orleans Saints star is hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow greats Tom Brady and JJ Watt in post-retirement venture.
