New Delhi: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor and author-actor Suhel Seth are indulging in a pun-filled war of words on X.
It all started with Seth posting a picture of himself in front of Oxford University on X, tagging Tharoor and calling it the place where the Congress MP’s ‘sole mate, the Oxford Dictionary’, was created.
Tharoor, known for unleashing his expansive repertoire when it comes to vocabulary, clapped back saying: ‘If the Oxford English Dictionary is my ‘sole mate,’ then I suppose I walk in well-defined shoes’. This was followed by more digs at Seth, with the Congress MP saying that ‘being wedded to the dictionary beats being shackled to clichés’, and ‘at least my ‘sole mate’ knows the difference between ‘disinterested’ and ‘uninterested”.
