Supporters have flooded social media to send messages of condolence to Light Blues diehard ‘Gordo’ who they have described as “truly one of a kind”. ‌

Hailing from the Gorbals area of Glasgow, one fellow fan wrote on X: “Really horrible news to hear this morning. Rest easy Gordo. One of life’s good guys.” ‌

Another added: “Sad day for the Rangers lads, lost a true gent. Rest easy Gordo.”

A well known figure in the Scottish football ultras scene, he was respected by rival fans. One St Mirren supporter wrote on X: “Thoughts with everyone at Rangers on hearing the news. RIP Gordo.” ‌
