Unsettled weather will linger for parts of Northern California on Thursday.
Scattered showers are possible in the Valley and Foothills along and south of Interstate 80 Thursday morning. The sky will clear from north to south starting around midday.
A couple showers are possible in the Sierra Thursday morning but those are expected to turn into heavier thunderstorms Thursday afternoon. Storms are most likely to the south of Lake Tahoe. any storm cell could produce heavy rain, small hail and frequent lightning.
Rain chances will end for the entire region Thursday night.
Friday will be sunny and much warmer. Valley temperatures will pop back into the mid 90s with light winds.
The weekend will be milder, especially Sunday. Sacramento is forecast to stay in the low 80s Sunday afternoon.
