SRINAGAR : Additional Deputy Commissioner Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi on Thursday imposed a fine of Rs 88,000 on several food business operators for violating provisions of the Food Safety and Standards Act (FS&SA) 2006. Follow Us On G -N e w s | Whatsapp

Officials said the penalties were imposed on traders found guilty of misbranding and selling substandard food during the hearing of cases listed before the Adjudicating Officer.

Masoodi cautioned the violators to strictly adhere to food safety regulations, warning that any further non-compliance with the FS&SA 2006 and its rules would invite stricter action in the future.
