Rihanna announced the birth of her first daughter, sharing the happy news in a rare social media post.

The 37-year-old singer took to Instagram to share a photo with her newborn, named Rocki Irish Mayers, in honour of her partner and rapper A$AP Rocky.

The quirky name also continues her family tradition of having names starting with an “R.”

The couple are also parents to two boys, three-year-old RZA and two-year-old Riot.

The new mum-of-three looked glamorous in the post-birth snap, while her daughter — born on September 13 — was adorable in a pink outfit with lace socks as she slept in her mother’s arms.

In May, the Fenty founder sensationally confirmed her pregnancy at this year’s Met Gala, held in honour of the Superfine: Tailoring Black Style exhibition.
