ASHLAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Ashland police said one person was hurt and another was arrested after a shooting early Thursday in a bar parking lot.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. outside the Wagon Wheel bar on Orange Road.

Police have identifed the suspect as 25-year-old David Struckoff, of Nova.

Officers say they have arrested him on a charge of felonious assault.

The victim, an Ashland man whose name was not released, was shot in the torso, according to police.

Police say he’s had surgery at Ohio Health Mansfield and is now recovering.

Officers will continue investigating what happened.
