A 72-year-old man from the Monroe area was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 23 after allegedly pulling a loaded gun and throwing a fake stick of dynamite at a stranger.

Monroe police officers were dispatched to Veterans Park shortly after 8 a.m. in response to a report of an individual who had brandished a pistol and thrown a lit fake piece of dynamite at the victim.
