Accused in Narmada Canal loot-murder case killed in police encounter September 24, 2025

Gandhinagar: The main accused in the recent robbery and murder case that occurred a few days ago near the Narmada Canal was killed today during an encounter with the police.

The encounter took place when the police had taken accused Vipul Parmar to the crime scene for reconstruction of the incident. During the operation, the accused attempted to escape and attacked the officers. Three police personnel were injured in the process. Parmar fired at the police with a revolver, prompting them to return fire, which resulted in his death. Police have described the incident as an encounter and have launched a detailed investigation into the case.
