A driver died Wednesday night after striking a police cruiser that had pulled over another vehicle along Interstate 395 in Arlington County.
The crash happened about 9:40 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-395, near the eight-mile marker. An Arlington County police officer had pulled over a Toyota Corolla on the left shoulder. The officer's cruiser was stopped in the left lane with its emergency signals on, police said.

While the cruiser and the Toyota were stopped, the driver of a Honda CR-V in the left lane hit the police cruiser "at a high rate of speed," Virginia State Police said.
The driver of the Honda wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was seriously injured, police said. He later died at a hospital. His name has not
