BOROUGH PARK — Not all heroes wear capes, but in this instance, members of the Fire Department of New York dressed up as superheroes and visited patients at Maimonides Children’s Hospital on Sept. 10.
The participants are part of Humble Heroes of FDNY, a nonprofit organization where volunteers dress as famous heroes and visit hospitals, special needs schools and grief centers to encourage children battling illness.
