Fifth generation Hamilton County farmer Rodney Rulon not only grows thousands of acres of corn and soy but is now cultivating a new approach to protecting the White River. Working in concert with The Nature Conservancy, Rulon has adapted his farming methods to prevent pollutants from seeping into the river.

The river has a long history of pollution thanks to industrial and residential development, and The Nature Conservancy is working with farmers like Rulon to clean up the water from Indiana to Louisiana.
