Fresh Foods — formerly known as Beavers Market — is getting ready to close two months after the Fort Collins Food Co-op announced intentions to buy its building.

The longstanding neighborhood grocery store, 1100 W. Mountain Ave., will close by Oct. 17, manager Erica Sanchez told the Coloradoan. It stopped receiving orders from outside vendors in August and its shelves have grown sparse as its operations wind down.
